|Dynamics Music School: Music Lessons in the Lansing Area||
The first week of full-time teaching is almost at an end, and it was so great to be back at it. There are many new students this year, which is always a great thing. The stack of papers I give to new students is also growing, however. There are enough that I just put them all in a "welcome" folder. I thought I would share what kinds of documents each new student is now getting:
General Information Form (if they didn't already fill it out on the website)
Studio Policy Handbook
Photography and Video Release Form
Parent Handbook on practicing
Achievement Program Information brochure
Studio brochures to give friends interested in taking lessons.
I file away the commitment contract and release form in the student's file.
This takes a lot of printing and stressing that I forgot something, but I like the idea of new students and parents getting a clear idea about what working with me and the other teachers is going to entail. To any parents reading this who haven't gotten their forms yet, you will :) I don't make a very detailed calendar, just a basic one with the semester dates and payment schedules. I try to email parents about more important dates about a month in advance.
